This tool is not intended for Shimano road groups such as 105, Ultegra, or Dura-Ace, which use different cage layouts.

How it’s used

To use the tool, retract the derailleur cage as you normally would when removing a wheel or installing a chain. Once the cage is pulled back, the Derailleur J Lock Tool engages the derailleur in the locked position. When the tool is in place, the derailleur remains retracted without requiring you to hold it under tension. This leaves both hands free for axle removal, drivetrain cleaning, cassette service, or other tasks. Removing the tool releases the cage back to its neutral position.
